Girl who loses her leg in "accident".
[When really it was a passed down generational curse from her grandmother who also was forced to run the torch.]
She feels she'll never be happy again.
One day she finds a master craftsman and he says to her he can make her a new leg. Return tomorrow.
When she does he give her a koto but not just any koto, one that can be used as a flexible leg.
"This isn't a leg. It's a koto."
"Find to play the koto, and there you will find your leg."
She is furious and leaves but at her surprise the koto is at her home already. Following her. She throws it away, it appears back in her room. She accepts it and attaches it to herself.
Later at the end the koto becomes her leg in case of becoming human flesh. She is happy once more but... now; she has no koto... so... is she really happy with her leg or would she have rather had kept the koto that meant so much to her on this journey she did not want to take in the first place.
