Everyone begins to redevelopment tails from their tail bones as a sign of humans never having tails in this understanding but are evolving to have a tail.

[[Even though in our world the understanding is that we're all disgusting animals, more disgusting even because humans are filthy creatures.]]

There is an MC that grows a single tail and everyone gets their own variation of one. His tail is a pendulum. Many would have extravagant tails, some that show off color and others scary and fierce, others cute of a warning to stay away like a poisonous frog of tree variety. And some would cut off their tails or not grow tails for some reason unknown for the time.

The MC fights unwantingly because the tails seem to have a mind of their own. They attack where ever fit and the MC's tail seems to protect the MC perfectly and causes people to fall into a trance of death awakening to see they have lost and must give up their tails.

The MC does not care for glory but seeks truth in the existence of why these tails exist in the first place. What is causing this is wondered. Either sense, our protagonist ends up wandering to where the tail tugs him in order to discover the mystery.
